Delete your account

Last updated 10 September 2026.

You can delete your Followscript account yourself, in about ten seconds, without asking anybody. It removes every script we hold for you. Nothing on your own phone or in your own browser is touched.

In the Android app

  • Open Settings.
  • Find Sync and tap Delete this account.
  • Confirm. That is the whole of it — there is no waiting period and no email to answer.

In the browser

  • Open followscript.com/app and sign in if you are not already.
  • Open the account panel, top right, and choose Delete this account.
  • Confirm.

Or write to us

If you cannot reach either app — you have lost the device, or you no longer have the Google account you signed in with — write to privacy@followscript.com from the address on the account, or tell us enough to identify it. We delete it and confirm, within 30 days and usually the same week.

What is deleted

All of it, immediately, and not marked as hidden. Deleting the account removes:

  • the account itself;
  • the identity behind it — the link to your Google account, and the email address we kept as a label for it;
  • every session, so every device is signed out;
  • every script synced to the account, including the ones marked as deleted but still carrying a tombstone.

Backups of the database are overwritten on their own cycle, so a deletion is complete everywhere within 30 days.

What is not deleted

Three things survive, and it is worth being exact about each.

  • Your own copies. The scripts on your phone and in your browser stay where they are, and so does everything you have recorded — we never held any of that and could not reach it if we wanted to. Delete those in the app, or by uninstalling it and clearing site data.
  • Your Google Play subscription. Only Google can cancel it. Deleting the account here does not, so cancel it in Google Play first or it will keep renewing.
  • What the law makes us keep. Invoices and accounting records, for as long as Polish tax law requires — currently five years from the end of the tax year. Support correspondence, if you wrote to us, for up to 24 months. Server logs for up to 30 days; those hold an IP address and a request line, and are not linked to your account.

Deleting is not reversible

There is no grace period and no recovery, by design: an account you can get back after deleting is an account that was never really deleted. If the scripts matter, open them on a device first and let them sync down, or copy the text out, before you delete.
